An Albuquerque resident shot a home invader while she and a relative were streaming Taylor Swift’s concert movie.
In New Mexico, Anissa Tinnin, 49, and her four-year-old granddaughter spent the evening together before eating dinner and bathing.
Afterwards, the pair nestled down on the sofa with sweet treats and tuned into Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour on Disney+.
However, while ‘dancing and singing along’ to the 34-year-old’s career-spanning songs on March 21, a man suddenly barged through the front door.

The grandmother later learned that the man had entered her home after hopping a fence on the property.
She also discovered his every move had been recorded on a Ring camera.
Recounting the ordeal, Anissa admitted that she didn’t know the home invader and was forced to defend her family after the man threatened their life.
“I jumped over this couch and we met there by the front door,” she told KRQE.
"That's when he grabbed me and was upset and said to give him my keys. He said he didn't want to go to jail. He did threaten to hurt my granddaughter and me.”

It’s said that the suspect lunged for Anissa’s car keys and ran out with them in his hand.
Immediately after the incident, the grandmother called local emergency services on 911 and attempted to calm her granddaughter down.
As per MailOnline, Anissa said on the phone call: “This guy came into my house and tried to take my car. Please help me.”
However, while speaking to operators on the phone, the intruder returned to the house.

This sparked a reaction in Anissa and she grabbed her gun.
Speaking to Inside Edition, she said: "You do what you have to do to protect yourself and your family. He told me that he would kill myself and my granddaughter if I didn’t do what he wanted me to do.”
Due to the trespasser re-entering the property, the woman soon pulled her gun on the man and left him ‘bleeding on her kitchen floor’.

After being held at gunpoint, the perpetrator was taken into custody by law enforcement officers.
Authorities have since said the suspect was fleeing the police after crashing a stolen vehicle and he now faces charges for burglary and auto theft.
Despite shooting the thief, Anissa has not been charged.
Speaking about the incident in a separate Facebook post, the victim took aim at the city of Albuquerque for allowing criminals to walk the streets.

“This city is a mess,” she wrote. “Criminals are ruining innocent people's lives everyday. I'm sick of keeping quiet about the disaster this city's leadership has created.”
Following the incident, Megan Austin, the four-year-old’s mother, said she was grateful for Anissa’s quick reaction.
She told Inside Edition: "If Anissa had not done what she did, we’d be telling a different story right now.”
